crayon turns a 500 by 500 doodle into a coin on the pons launchpad. You draw it here, your wallet signs it, and pons does the rest. This page explains exactly what happens, what it costs, and what this site can and cannot do.
What this is
A drawing pad and a launch button. The doodle you draw becomes the token's image; the name and ticker you type become the token's name and ticker. The coin itself is created on pons, the same place it would live if you had gone to the launchpad and done it yourself. This site is the pad, the shortcut, and the wall of what people have launched.
The point of it: every meme worth remembering was drawn badly by hand, and launchpads have spent two years filling up with stock photos and rendered slop. We would like to flood Robinhood Chain with drawings again. That is the whole plan.
The pad takes nothing. No cut of your launch, no cut of your fees, no share of your supply. You pay the pons launch fee and the network fee, and that is the entire cost.
Launching, step by step
- Draw. 500 by 500, whatever you like. Rough is the format.
- Name it. Name (up to 32 characters) and ticker (up to 10). A description and links are optional but show on pons.
- Connect a wallet. Any EVM wallet holding a little ETH on Robinhood Chain. The pad will offer to add or switch to the network for you.
- Choose where your fees go. Keep every creator fee, or name a different wallet to receive them. Optional, and entirely yours to decide.
- Approve. Your wallet shows one transaction. It deploys the token, deploys its bonding curve, records your fee recipient and creator tax, and makes your first buy if you entered an amount. When it confirms, your coin is live and tradeable.
Behind the scenes, when you press Launch: your doodle is stored and gets a permanent URL; that URL and your
token's details go into a TokenParams struct; the pad pins the launch terms with
previewLaunchEconomics so pons cannot settle your launch on different terms than you were quoted;
and your wallet sends the call. Only after the chain confirms the coin exists does it appear on the wall here.
What it costs
| pons launch fee | Set by pons, currently 0.0005 ETH. It is not paid to us. |
|---|---|
| Network fee | Robinhood Chain gas, a fraction of a cent. |
| Optional first buy | Whatever you choose to spend buying your own coin, in the same transaction. |
| crayon's cut | Nothing. The pad does not charge for a launch and does not take a share of your fees. |
Keep a little more ETH in the wallet than you plan to spend, so the fee and the gas are both covered.
Who holds what
- Your keys stay in your wallet. This site never asks for a seed phrase or a private key, and never will.
- Every transaction is built unsigned, shown to you by your wallet, and signed by you. If you reject it, nothing happens and nothing is spent.
- The coin's creator is your wallet, so pons creator fees are paid to you, and only you can redirect them.
- We never hold your ETH or your tokens at any point.
If any site, including one claiming to be this one, asks for your seed phrase, it is a scam. Close it.
Creator fees, and where they go
pons pays a coin's creator a slice of every trade in it, for as long as it trades, both on the bonding curve and in the Uniswap pool it graduates into. On a launch from here that creator is the wallet you name, and that wallet is the only authority over those fees.
There are two numbers involved. The base trade fee is set by pons and split between the protocol, the buyback, and you. The creator tax is yours alone: an extra fee on every trade, which you set from 0 up to the protocol cap when you launch. It is fixed at creation, so you cannot raise it on holders later, and holders can read it before they buy. Most launches leave it at zero.
Pointing your fees somewhere else
Under Creator fees, pick Send elsewhere and paste a wallet: a community treasury, a charity, the artist whose style you borrowed, a friend, anyone who is not you. It is written on chain when the coin is created, and only that wallet controls it afterwards. We are never an authority over it and can never redirect, pause, or take a share.
Getting paid
pons does not push fees to your wallet as they are earned. They accrue on the curve, and a sweep moves them into the pons fee escrow, where you withdraw them whenever you want. The Your creator fees panel on the tracker shows both figures for the connected wallet: what is claimable now, and what has been earned but not swept yet. The Claim button calls the escrow directly.
The faucet and the tracker
Every coin launched here is tracked against the wallet that launched it: how many doodles that wallet has drawn, how many are earning, and how much the faucet has sent it. The board is on the front page.
The faucet is filled by the $CRAYON coin's own creator fees. Those fees are not kept. They go back out to the people drawing the doodles.
What earns a share
- A doodle starts earning once a floor of real money has been bought into its bonding curve, read straight
off the chain with
realQuoteReserve(). That is what stops someone minting a thousand blank drawings and draining the pool. The current floor is shown under the board. - Once a doodle qualifies it keeps its share, even if the coin cools off afterwards.
- A wallet counts up to ten qualifying doodles, so one prolific launcher cannot take everything.
- Your slice is your shares divided by everyone's shares, applied to whatever is in the faucet. It moves as people launch, so the figure on the board is what you would be sent if a round ran right now.
How it is paid
Payments are sent from the treasury wallet and recorded here only once the chain confirms them. This site holds no private key, so it cannot move the treasury's money, or yours, on its own. It is a ledger, not a custodian. Every receipt is public at /api/payouts, and the Received column on the tracker is the sum of them.
There is no minimum and nothing to claim, but tiny amounts may be left to build up rather than paid every round.
Buying your own coin
The First buy box is optional. Leave it at 0 and you simply create the coin.
If you enter an amount, the pad routes the launch through the pons launch-and-buy router, so creating the coin and buying it happen inside one transaction. Nothing can trade in between, which means your opening buy cannot be front-run by the launch that made it possible. It is still one approval, and you are the first buyer of your own coin.
The opening seconds are taxed. pons opens every launch with a tax on buying that starts near 99% and decays to nothing within a few seconds, so that racing a new curve is not worth it. The launching wallet, the fee recipient, and the first-buy recipient are all exempt automatically, so your own opening buy clears untaxed.
After you launch
Your coin is a normal pons coin. It trades on its bonding curve, anyone can buy or sell it there, and once the curve sells out it graduates into a Uniswap v4 pool whose liquidity is locked permanently. Nothing is required of you when it switches over.
On the wall here, launches appear within about a second of confirming, newest first, with a live market cap and graduation progress read from the coin's own curve. You can also sort by market cap or by how close a coin is to graduating.
The pad
| Tools | Brush, eraser, fill, line, rectangle, ellipse, text, colour picker. |
|---|---|
| Shortcuts | B brush, E eraser, F fill, L line, R rectangle, O ellipse, T text, I picker, [ and ] size, Ctrl+Z undo, Ctrl+Y redo. |
| Size and opacity | Sliders under the pad. A drawing tablet's pressure works if you have one. |
| Background | White, black, paper or clear. A clear background exports on white, since token images should not be see-through. |
| Export | Your launch uses a 500 by 500 PNG, plus a smaller copy for the wall. |
Rules and moderation
Anything you launch is a real coin on a public chain. We cannot delete it, edit it, or refund it. What we control is this wall, and we will remove doodles that are illegal, sexual content involving minors, targeted harassment, or someone's private information. Removing a doodle from the wall does not remove the coin from pons.
To stop spam, uploads are rate limited per person.
When something goes wrong
- "No EVM wallet found"
- No wallet extension is installed, or it is disabled for this site. Install one and reload. On a phone, open this page inside your wallet app's own browser.
- The wallet window never appeared
- Some wallets block pop-ups until you interact with them once. Click the wallet icon, unlock it, then press Launch again.
- "Launch cancelled"
- You rejected the transaction. Nothing was sent and nothing was spent.
- Not enough ETH
- The wallet will refuse to sign. Top it up and try again. Your doodle stays on the pad.
- "LaunchEconomicsMismatch"
- pons changed the launch terms between the moment the pad quoted you and the moment you signed. Nothing settled on terms you did not read. Reload and launch again.
- "Launched, but the pad could not read the coin address"
- Your coin exists. Open the transaction in the explorer to find it; it will appear on the wall the next time the pad re-checks.
- The coin is not on the wall
- The wall only lists coins whose image was issued by this pad and which the chain confirms pons launched. If both are true and it is still missing, it will appear on the next refresh.
FAQ
Do I need to be able to draw?
No. Look at the pictures that actually outlived the platforms they were posted on. Not one of them was drawn well.
Can I upload an image instead of drawing?
Not today. The pad is the point. Draw it, even badly.
Who owns the coin?
You. Your wallet is the deployer and the creator, which is what pons uses for creator fees.
How do I get paid from the faucet?
Launch doodles. Once one of your coins trades past the floor on the tracker it starts earning a share of the $CRAYON coin's creator fees, and payments are sent to the wallet that launched it. Nothing to claim or sign. See the faucet.
Can I change the split afterwards?
Your wallet is the authority over the coin's fee recipient, so it can be moved on chain later with transferCreatorFeeRecipient, but not from here, and never by us.
Can I change the image or name later?
No. Token metadata is fixed at creation, so check your spelling before you approve.
Is my doodle stored anywhere else?
The image lives at a permanent URL that is written into the token's on chain metadata, which is what makes it the coin's picture, and a copy is shown on the wall here.
Which wallets work?
Any wallet that injects an EVM provider and can sign from a website. The pad will offer to add Robinhood Chain (chain id 4663) if your wallet does not have it yet.
Is pons audited?
pons v2 is under review by three independent security teams and the reports were not published at the time of writing. Treat it as unaudited, and read their risk disclosures before you launch or buy anything.
